I Am
I am free-willed and country.
I wonder if Michael Jackson is really dead?
I hear kids one day calling me “Ms. Hawley.”
I see a small town life with that special someone.
I want to become an elementary school principal.
I am free-willed and country.
I pretend I can sing well.
I feel graced by God.
I touch hopefully a child’s life.
I worry about everything!
I cry when I laugh too hard.
I am free-willed and country.
I understand my life on earth is short, and I should live each day to its fullest.
I say “what don’t kill you only makes you stronger.”
I dream that I will one day see my Granny again.
I try to be the best person I can possibly be.
I hope that my future is sunny and bright!

I LOVE that picture! I also love your descriptive adjectives about yourself. I think they fit you well! I also like how you said you wonder if Michael Jackson is really dead…I wondered that for awhile…but I dont think they would still be talking about it to this day if he wasnt! I think that singing is a gift from god…and if you think you can sing then you can! I like to think I can…so I do in the shower!

Your picture is too cute! As future elementary school teachers, we both hope to touch a child’s life one day. I’m just afraid that it’s going to be a lot harder than it sounds…

I really like the quotes in your poem. I use a lot of them myself. You used some very good adjectives. Nicely done.

I love your poem! I also would like to become a principal one day. I also have a chihuahua too! He is black with a little bit of white and his name is buddy! What a great picture!
